We are delighted to be able to run a summer school for our upcoming Year 7 students between Tuesday 3rd August and Friday 6th August 2021. We are offering your son/daughter a one-day place providing them with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the school, engage in fun activities and meet some of their future peers.
As you can understand, we are only able to have a limited number of students per day. So, we will only be able to offer each student one day so that all students can get the most out of this opportunity. Should you wish your child to attend for a day we would ask you please to click – Summer School Form 2021 to complete the forms and return them by Friday 9th July 2021.
You will notice that there is a first and second choice of days, we will try to accommodate your first choice but we have a limited number of places available each day. Emails will be sent out later in July indicating the day you have been allocated.
Please note for safety reasons that we can only accept students on the day they are booked in and any student not booked will be turned away at the gate.
The activities will take place both indoors and outdoors. Therefore, we ask that all students dress appropriately. Should it be warm, please ensure your child brings sun screen and a hat, should it be cold and wet, please ensure your child has an outdoor jacket.
The day will begin at 10.00am (No child will be allowed onsite till 9.30am). Your child will be met at the gate by a member of Phoenix staff. Students are not required to wear school uniform but need to wear something they are happy to run and crawl around in, a tracksuit/leggings and trainers are ideal.
A packed lunch and a snack will be provided. However, you will need to indicate on the form if your child has any dietary requirements such as allergies, vegetarian or vegan.
The day will finish at 2.00 pm where students will be dismissed to their parents. Should a child be allowed to walk home this will need to be indicated on the form. No child will be dismissed to walk home without this permission.
If your son/daughter is currently taking any medication that they will require on the day, this will need to be indicated on the form. They will also need to bring it with them and hand any tablets to our first aider Mr Jones. Those with inhalers and Epi pens will need to keep them with them.
*please download and complete and then upload below.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible during that week.
