Student Enrichment Days (PSHE)
The Phoenix Student Enrichment Days (SEDs) programme has been devised to fulfil our statutory responsibility to support students' spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development and prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life.
The programme supplements existing provision in PSHE, mathematics, science, computing, PE, RE, Design & Technology and takes account of DfE guidance concerning Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), preventing and tackling bullying, safeguarding and equality.
The programme is designed around:
- The PSHE core themes of: Health & Well-being, Relationships and Living in the Wider World
- Statutory and non-statutory guidance relating to Careers, Citizenship, RE and Financial Education.
- The character education programme ‘The Phoenix Edge’ which is designed to develop life skills in key attributes in Leadership, Organisation, Resilience, Initiative and Communication.
