The DfE are able to support families who qualify for support needed with free additional mobile data for children to use on mobile devices.
You must meet all of the following criteria:
- You do not have fixed broadband at home
- You cannot afford additional data for their devices to access educational resources or social care services.
- You are experiencing disruption your child's face to face education.
- You agree to the privacy statement attached to this email.
This schemes (which is on first come first serve basis), temporarily increases data allowances for mobile phone users on certain networks. (Three, SMARTY, Virgin Mobile, EE, Tesco Mobile, Sky Mobile, O2, Vodaphone) Other providers may join the scheme at a later stage.
School will need the following information to enable the DfE to process the request on your behalf. Each provider will vary in how quickly they process requests. Once a network provider has processed a data increase, they’ll send a text message to the account holder.
