What an emotional event!
It was great to see the whole school gather to watch our RN and RAF cadets parading to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Commemorating armistice at Phoenix is an event we hold close to our hearts and this was only the second time we have been able to do so due to the pandemic last year (first time with our RAF cadets).
The service was made of a talk from Head teacher Mike Smith, readings by our Head boy and Head girl, the CCF parade with the bugle being played, a wreath being laid and a two-minute silence.
We are very proud of our cadets in school and want to thank everyone involved yesterday. Students’ conduct was exemplary during the whole service. We look forward to hosting this service every year from now on.
