HOURS: 37 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week
Phoenix is seeking to appoint a highly effective and innovative communicator with a proven track record of working in ICT, who can demonstrate an up to date knowledge of current issues and developments in the field.
In addition to having responsibility for developing and implementing the School’s Data Protection Policy, and ensuring compliance, the postholder will deal with all requests for information under Freedom of Information and Data Protection Acts, and be tasked with managing the school’s website and social media profile. External communications with parents/carers and the wider school community, together with the creation of a clear and professional communications strategy also fall within the remit of this post.
The successful candidate will have attained BTEC Level 3 in ICT and be educated to A Level standard or will be able to prove equivalent qualifications and/or experience. Knowledge of the Data Protection Act (and forthcoming General Data Protection Regulation) and of social media platforms and technology are essential requirements. Applicants should also understand both current and changing educational policies and safeguarding/child protection in a school setting.
